How We Actually Teach

You won't find us promising overnight success or guaranteed returns. Instead, we focus on building real understanding through practical examples and hands-on exercises.

Our approach starts with basic concepts and gradually builds complexity. We use real Canadian market examples and discuss actual investment scenarios you might encounter.

Each module includes worksheets and practical exercises. You'll analyze real companies, understand financial statements, and practice risk assessment using current market data.

  • Reading and understanding financial statements without getting overwhelmed
  • Recognizing red flags in investment opportunities before you invest

Program Structure

Our six-month program launches in September 2025. Each month focuses on a specific area of investment knowledge, building on previous concepts.

Months 1-2

Foundation concepts, understanding risk, and basic portfolio theory. We cover the psychology of investing and common behavioral mistakes.

Months 3-4

Analyzing individual investments, understanding financial statements, and evaluating company fundamentals using real examples.

Months 5-6

Advanced portfolio construction, tax strategies, and developing your personal investment plan with ongoing monitoring techniques.

Classes meet twice monthly via video conference, with optional in-person sessions in Whitehorse. All materials are available online, and you can review recordings if you miss a session.

Student Experiences

Here's what past participants have shared about their learning experience with us.

Testimonial from program participant
Brianna Kellstrom
Small Business Owner, Yukon

I appreciate how they never promised unrealistic returns or quick fixes. The program helped me understand what I was actually investing in instead of just following tips from social media. Now I can read financial reports and make my own informed decisions.

Testimonial from program participant
Helena Vanberg

The practical exercises made all the difference. We analyzed real companies and discussed actual investment scenarios. I finally understood how fees affect returns over time and why diversification matters beyond just 'don't put all eggs in one basket.'
